Item Suitability and Delivery

All furniture items must be pre-approved before arriving at our auction rooms. This can be done through a physical appraisal, an email appraisal, or by providing photographs for our staff to assess. Our team will advise on the item’s suitability for auction and provide an estimated auction value. Smaller items that are easy to transport can be brought in for our staff to provide further advice or can be assessed through photographs or emails.

Delivery of items is accepted by arrangement.

Commission Rate and Other Charges

Commission Rate: Our commission rate is 15% (Inclusive of GST) of the hammer price for each lot sold at auction.

Lot Offering Fee: There is a lot offering fee of $1 (Inclusive of GST) per lot offered. (Unless otherwise agreed)

Withdrawal Fee: There is a withdrawal fee of 20% of the reserve/guide (Unless otherwise agreed)

Guides and Reserves

Guide Prices: All lots are given an auction guide price. The Auctioneer will not accept a bid below the starting price, and their starting price is 80% of the low end guide price.  For example a $50 – $100 guide has a $40 starting price, $100 – $200 guide has a $80 starting price.

Reserves are by negotiation only with the Auction Team, and only apply to items valued above $200 and for the first auction only.  At subsequent auctions the lots are offered with a reducing guide price.

Unsold Items: Unsold items will be entered into the next auction by vendor agreement and the guide and starting price will be reduced to the next guide range. For example, $40 – 60, is then reduced to $30 – 50 the following auction.

Lots (above $50 - 100) will be offered a maximum of three (3) auctions, and in the third auction, the lot will be offered  reduced to a $5 start.

Reserves: Reserves can be accepted on items valued over $200. The reserve price is fixed and firm, and offers will not be submitted below the reserve price. The reserve is valid for one offering only and will convert to a guide for subsequent auctions.

Vendor Payment

Direct Deposits: For our Wednesday Estate Auctions, payments will be processed via direct deposit on the Wednesday the week following the sale week.
